In 1995 John began giving serious
thought to enhancing his flying career in a non-traditional
aviation role. John's creative juices begin to flow and
after much research, consulting and introspection, he set
forth on the tedious journey toward professional aerobatic
performance. Early involvement in competitive aerobatics,
lead to participation in unlimited class aerobatic competitions
where John gained valuable experience and recognition via
numerous national and regional wins. In 2000, John sought
to establish himself as a professional air show performer.
This has been a substantial shift from his college days
where he received his degree in Communications.
John brings to John Klatt Airshows,
Inc. 21 years of aviation experience. Sixteen of those
years have
been with the Air National Guard as Major John Klatt, where
he has flown C-130 turboprop transport aircraft around the
planet to the F-16 Fighting Falcon in air support and combat
roles. John also maintains the role of first officer with
a major US commercial airline.
In spite of the travel and time away
from home and family, John is very much a husband and father.
With the help of his charming and resourceful wife Deborah,
two most delightful offspring are being
raise to the high standard of the Klatt family. Aside from
aviation, John enjoys camping, fishing, and
traveling with his family.
